So How Do You Get There From Here?
Recently I relayed how God has blessed us over the last couple of weeks. God has been amazingly gracious to demonstrate His control and provision over our lives. But the question remains, how do you get there from here?
The short answer? God will provide. God will move the mountain as we maintain our faith in Him. One way God provided for the Israelites in the past was through manna. But since we are going to the Arctic rather than the desert, I don’t really count on manna. Fudge Sickles maybe? Probably not.
Another way God provided for His work is through the faithful sacrificial giving of His people. In his letter to the 2 Corinthians 8, Paul commended the Macedonians for their giving. What motivated this giving? Paul tells us, “their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do.” (2 Corinthians 8:5)
The Macedonians saw themselves first as God’s children and then as partners in the Gospel.
Your partnership can make a difference in reaching the Gwich’in and Inuit people of Northwestern Canada for Christ. We are asking God to raise up 1000 partners who will give themselves to the Lord, pray regularly and give monthly to provide the necessary operational funds to take the Good News each community. If God were to move 1000 people to give as little as $12.50/month, we would have sufficient resources to accomplish the task.
